In the latest news, former Indian cricket captain and current Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) President, Sourav Ganguly, has declined to comment on the ongoing protest by Indian wrestlers regarding their exclusion from the Indian Olympic team. Ganguly stated that he did not have enough information about the issue and hoped that it would be resolved soon.

The Indian wrestling community has been protesting against the Wrestling Federation of India (WFI) for their decision to exclude two-time Olympic medalist Sushil Kumar and other wrestlers from the Indian Olympic team. The wrestlers are demanding transparency and fairness in the selection process and have been staging protests outside the WFI office in Delhi.
When asked about the issue, Ganguly said, I don’t have enough information about it. I hope the issue is resolved soon. He also added that he supports all athletes and their right to participate in the Olympics.
The BCCI President’s refusal to comment on the issue is in line with the BCCI’s policy of not interfering in the affairs of other sports bodies. However, many in the Indian sporting community have called for the BCCI to take a more active role in supporting other sports and athletes in the country.
The situation remains tense as the wrestlers continue their protest, and the WFI has yet to make any official statement regarding their demands. It remains to be seen how this issue will be resolved and what role, if any, the BCCI will play in it.
