The Pakistani players disperse throughout the park after their regular team huddle. Pathum Nissanka and Kusal Mendis, the two Sri Lankan openers, take the field. Many fans have gathered for this finale. Naseem Shah has the first ball. Nassem Shah scrambled the golden wicket of Sri Lanka’s in-form opener Kusal Mendis after a superb start from Pakistan. Four runs and a wicket in the first over, not the best start for Sri Lanka in this final.
    Sri Lanka scored 42 runs and lost three wickets after the powerplay. Dhananjaya de Silva and Dasun Shanakain were credited with the two most important wickets in Pakistan’s account. They’ve lost half of their team in the first nine overs. Sri Lanka picked up the pace in the second half of their inning. Wanindu Hasaranga extends his 50-run sixth-wicket stand with Bhanuka Rajapaksa. In 35 deliveries, Bhanuka Rajapaksa hit his first fifty of the Asia Cup 2022.
    Bhanuka Rajapaksa finishes the over with a four and a six off the final two deliveries. Sri Lanka recovered admirably, scoring 170/6 in 20 overs. To win the Asia Cup 2022 Final, Pakistan’s squad needs 171 runs in 20 overs. Pakistan’s inning began with Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan entering the crease. Sri Lanka’s attack was launched by left-arm pacer Dilshan Madushanka. The pitch was not in Sri Lanka’s favour, and Madhsanka had to make 11 deliveries in the first over.
    Sri Lanka’s first over turned out to be costly. Pakistan, on the other hand, took advantage of this and scored 12 runs. Pramod Madushan took the strike and credited two back-to-back wickets of Babar and Fakhar Zaman in the Sri Lankan account in 3.2 overs, putting a big smile on the Sri Lankans’ faces. Pakistan got off to a shaky start, losing two wickets early and scoring only 37 runs in the power play.
    Mohammad Rizwan emerged as a ray of hope, guiding Pakistan to 50 runs in 7.3 overs. Rizwan and Iftikhar’s incredible partnership helped Pakistan turn the game in their favor. The players performed admirably, hitting boundaries and winning singles and doubles to propel the game forward.
    Sri Lanka’s team had been chasing a wicket for a long time before getting an important wicket of Iftikhar. Iftikhar was out at 32 after Pramod Madushan smacked the wicket. Nawaz, another important Pakistani batter, was caught out and had to leave his inning after scoring only 6 runs.
