After a tragic automobile accident on the way to Dehradun, India wicketkeeper-batsman Rishabh Pant met the folks who pulled him from the rubble. Pant had to be taken out of the car before it caught fire and exploded into flames after he crashed into the divider while attempting to avoid a pothole.
On Monday, January 2, Rajat and Nishu visited Rishabh Pant at the hospital for the first time since the collision. Pant was taken from his Mercedes and saved by the two villagers who were present when the accident occurred. Later, bus driver Sushil Kumar arrived at the scene, phoned the police, and organised for the ambulance.  Pant met the pair at the medical facility where he is receiving care for the first time following his accident. In the interviews the pair gave, they said that at the time Pant was introduced to them, they were unaware of the Indian cricketer.

In the pictures, Pant can be seen with his left hand having a drip attached and being extensively wrapped. The Board of Control for Cricket in India has already issued a statement in which it confirmed the several wounds Pant has received and stated that it was closely watching the situation.
Prior to their first T20I match against Sri Lanka, the Indian team gave Pant their best wishes.Rahul Dravid and the rest of the team, who gave him their best, are seen in a video that the BCCI posted. Because of the incident, Pant is predicted to take some time off from cricket.
