Cummins said the team was still buzzing from their victory, but admitted they were a little disappointed with the lack of fanfare.

We were hoping for a bigger crowd, he said. But we understand that it’s a weekday, and a lot of people are at work or school.Source:- the times of indiaThe team was greeted by a small band playing national anthems, and a few dozen fans chanting their names. However, the scene was a far cry from the raucous celebrations that greeted the team when they returned from the 2015 World Cup.
One reason for the subdued welcome may be the fact that the World Cup was held in India, where Australia is not as popular as it is in some other countries. Additionally, the team’s two opening losses in the tournament may have dampened some enthusiasm.
Despite the lack of fanfare, the players were still happy to be back on home soil.
It’s always great to come home, said Cummins. We’ve been away for a long time, so it’s good to be back with our families and friends.
The team will now have a short break before starting preparations for the upcoming Ashes series against England.
