In an interview with RJ Siddharth Kannan, Suneel claimed that although he and Sunny had formerly been close, Sunny’s lack of commitment caused him to develop his doubts. He admitted that Sunny had left for London and refused to return in time, thus he released the movie Ajay without an epilogue. Nevertheless, the movie was a success.
When a producer declared Tumhari aukaat nahi hai during Akshay Kumar’s flop time, he was refusing to display his hoardings.
Suneel continued, Sunny had coerced me into a pledge that I would back him for the next stage of his career, to which I donated my one year, with a guarantee from him that he would be taking up my next movie, for which he was signed and financial responsibilities had finished. But after Sunny was unable to mount the Gurinder Chadha-directed film London, which also starred Bobby Deol and Karisma Kapoor, he went back to India. Suneel believed that the time had come for him to begin collaborating with Sunny on their film, but when Sunny stated that the topic required more work , Suneel started to suspect a problem. The motivations are questionable here, I thought, he remarked. A struggling Akshay Kumar would finally star in the movie, which was titled Jaanwar.I decided to give him more time, but there were some financial issues (on another project), so he needed to refund my money, Suneel continued. But it didn’t go like that. I eventually reached the conclusion that I couldn’t wait any longer and moved on.This is when Akshay Kumar approached him about a job, and after being persuaded that Akshay would give a project everything he had, he agreed to work with him. Although Sunny Deol enjoyed enormous success in the 1990s, he has since encountered some personal difficulties.Comment your thoughts on this.
