Pakistan captain Babar Azam is third, ahead of South Africa’s Aiden Markram and New Zealand’s Devon Conway. The only movement within the top 10 following the latest batter rankings update was aggressive New Zealand right-hander Glenn Phillips, who jumped 13 spots to equal 10th after a strong tri-series performance against Bangladesh and Pakistan. Hardik Pandya remained in sixth place in the T20I all-rounder rankings with 173 rating points.
Bangladesh captain Shakib Al Hasan will be the top all-rounder in the T20 World Cup. Shakib claimed the top spot following an outstanding tri-series against New Zealand and Pakistan, in which the veteran hit consecutive half-centuries in Bangladesh’s final two matches. Mohammad Nabi of Afghanistan was replaced by Shakib.
There was little movement within the top 10 in the updated list for bowlers, with Mujeeb Ur Rahman (up two spots to fifth) and South Africa’s Keshav Maharaj (up one spot to eighth) rising. Josh Hazlewood (705 rating points) of Australia maintains his lead at the top of the T20I bowlers rankings, followed by Afghanistan spinner Rashid Khan (696), Sri Lanka tweaker Wanindu Hasaranga (692) and South Africa veteran Tabraiz Shamsi (688).
Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Ravichandran Ashwin, and Axar Patel of India are ranked 12th, 22nd, and 23rd, respectively.
