The bank was laid with the vision of not only strengthening the financial services provided in the country but also with social causes and responsibilities like the removal of superstition, attention to the need for savings, providing financial assistance to people in need, etc. 
    Canara Bank holds several achievements including being the first bank in India to launch inter-city ATM services, the first bank to be awarded ISO certification for one of its branches, and providing credit cards to farmers for the first time in the country providing Agricultural Consultancy Services.
    The recent achievement added another feather to its cap. The bank announced receiving The Banker’s Bank of the Year award 2022 for the India segment at the Global Banking Summit, held in London, U.K. from November 29 to December 1, 2022. 
    The award was received by the MD and CEO of Canara Bank on 1st December. This Award is presented by The Banker’s Magzine from the house of Financial Times and is regarded as the Oscar of the banking industry attributing the title of The Best Bank in the country for the year 2022.
    The judgment criteria included the ability to deliver returns, strategy, innovation, technology, and product and services in respective geography for the past 12 months.
    The bank expressed its gratitude towards the customers, investors, staff, and other stakeholders humbly dedicating its success.
