“The family was in debt, but the problems are over now,” KKR star Rinku Singh tells NDTV.

Rinku does not come from a wealthy family, and this is not a well-kept secret. To make ends meet, his father still transports petrol cylinders from one house to another. Before Rinku became a professional cricketer, his family was understandably in debt. But those trying times are now behind him.
I’m doing everything I can for my family. The difficult times are now over. I told my father he should quit his job. He has been employed for 30 years. When I asked him to stop, he insisted on going on.
With our father, I and my brothers used to go door to door delivering petrol cylinders. My father was always against me playing cricket. He wanted me to collaborate with him and contribute financially. Mom used to support me, Rinku said in an exclusive interview with NDTV.
When asked if this was a watershed moment in his career, Rinku said it was the best innings of his life thus far. When asked about his Team India ambitions, Rinku stated that his current focus is on performing well for the franchise in the IPL.
Rinku used to play cricket with his brothers when he was younger, but he is the only one who turned his hobby into a career. His younger brother, on the other hand, wishes to follow in his elder brother’s footsteps.
