He revealed that these weapons were no longer only intended to prevent war, but that they could also be deployed offensively and pre-emptively to win a war. Kim Jong’s main goal in 2023 is to dramatically increase the manufacture of nuclear weapons with various ranges that may be deployed against both close- and far-off foes. He actually conducted his first three ballistic missile tests of the year on January 1st, aiming for the Sea of Japan.On the other hand, Mr. Yoon Suk-Yeol was selected to lead South Korea as president in May 2022. He thinks that a military response is the most effective method to stop the North. He resumed extensive joint military drills with the United States, which prompted the North to protest and fire additional missiles. This started a cycle of tit-for-tat military action in which both sides have flown fighter jets close to their borders and fired artillery into the ocean. Recently, five drones from North Korea were unexpectedly flown into South Korean airspace. The South’s inability to shoot them down exposed a gap in its defences and raised concerns among the general populace.
