At the Shere Bangla National Stadium, Team India, led by Rohit Sharma, faced Mehidy Hasan Miraz’s Bangladesh in the second ODI of the bilateral series after Team India’s loss to the hosts in the series opener. In the series decider, Bangladesh captain Litton Das called the toss and decided to bat first.
    Sharing an update about the coin toss in Dhaka, the world governing body of cricket ended up making an unfortunate gaffe on Twitter. The ICC posted a photo of the Canadian cricket team while sharing the toss update about the 2nd ODI between Bangladesh and India.u00a0Taking cognisance of the now-deleted post, netizens called out ICC as the world governing body was mercilessly trolled on the microblogging site.Speaking of the India-Bangladesh match in Dhaka, Mahmudullah and the in-form Miraz set up a difficult total for the 50-over battle. Star batsman Miraz maintained his incredible run by notching his maiden ODI century while Mahmudullah struck 77 off 96 balls. In the 50-over format, Miraz is the second batter to record a century while batting at No. 8 or lower.

    As Bangladesh, under the leadership of Das, amassed 271-7 in 50 overs, Miraz remained undefeated on 100 off 83 balls. The spinner of choice for the Rohit-led team in the second ODI turned out to be the all-arounder Washington Sundar. In 10 overs, Sundar took three wickets and gave up 37 runs. In the middle game of the three-match series, pacers Mohammed Siraj and Umran Malik split four wickets. Earlier, India suffered an injury scare as skipper Rohit was rushed to a hospital for scan. Rohit sustained an injury on his left thumb while attempting a catch during the 2nd ODI.
