Police looked like sitting ducks as hundreds of men armed with swords and guns broke through police barricades erected outside Ajnala Police Station in Amritsar. Six cops were injured in the rampage.Armed with swords, guns and sharp weapons, scores of supporters of the self-styled Sikh preacher and pro-Khalistan (sovereign state for Sikhs) propagator Amritpal Singh on Thursday indulged in a scuffle with Punjab police personnel, injuring a few in Amritsaru2019s Ajnala.

The supporters of Mr. Amritpal, who is head of u2018Waris Punjab Deu2019 outfit, broke a police barricade as they clashed with the police personnel near the Ajnala Police Station, and stormed into the police complex in a u201cshow of strengthu201d.
    The situation in Ajnala remains tense, with police officers overwhelmed by the number of Singhu2019s supporters present at the police station. The police are attempting to negotiate with Singh to defuse the situation and ensure that there is no further violence.Comment down your view regarding the same!
