Police looked like sitting ducks as hundreds of men armed with swords and guns broke through police barricades erected outside Ajnala Police Station in Amritsar. The supporters of Mr. Amritpal, who is head of u2018Waris Punjab Deu2019 outfit, broke a police barricade as they clashed with the police personnel near the Ajnala Police Station, and stormed into the police complex in a u201cshow of strengthu201d.
The situation in Ajnala remains tense, with police officers overwhelmed by the number of Singhu2019s supporters present at the police station.
