As expected, the 2024 presidential candidate called the trial “disgraceful” and “rigged.” According to Trump, the Biden administration is attempting to settle a political grudge.

Comparing himself to Mother Teresa, he has implied that not even the renowned nun could have escaped being found guilty in the trial, which was ostensibly a fake. He has pledged to battle to the very end because “our country has gone to hell,” adding his own theatrical flourish.

Trump will still be able to run for office in November despite the conviction. Four days prior to the Republican National Convention, when he is expected to receive an official nomination as the party’s presidential nominee against Biden, the sentencing is set for July 11. It is anticipated that Trump, who has a talent for playing the victim, will make sure that his campaign is centred around his court cases.

Trump has been accusing others of plotting to prevent him from being president ever since Biden emerged victorious in the 2020 presidential contest. Three more criminal trials are pending for him, two of which are connected to his purported attempts to get his poll defeat overturned.
