Nisha Dahiya of India will compete for a senior bronze medal on Thursday after losing 4-5 to Japan’s U20 world champion Ami Ishii in the 68kg semifinals.
    Nisha had beaten Lithuania’s Danute Domikaityte, the Czech Republic’s Adela Hanzlickova, and Bulgaria’s Sofiya Georgieva in the previous rounds before losing to Ami Ishii.
    Meanwhile, 2021 world championships bronze medalist Sarita Mor was defeated 0-7 by fall by U23 world champion Anhelina Lysak of Poland in the round of 16 of the 57kg category. In the qualifying round, she defeated CWG bronze medalist Hannah Taylor of Canada 4-2.
    Mansi Ahlawat and Reetika, the Junior Asian champions, were also eliminated early. In the 72kg qualifying round, Reetika was defeated 2-6 by European bronze medalist Kendra Dacher of France.
    Mansi Ahlawat defeated Ukrainian junior champion Solomiia Vynnyk 8-5 in the qualifying round before falling to European silver medalist Jowita Maria Wrzesien 3-5 in the quarterfinal.
