‘When privacy is taken away…’: Rahul Dravid’s strong reaction to the leak of Virat Kohli’s hotel room video

Crown Resorts issued an official apology and fired the employees involved following Kohli’s lengthy Instagram post in which he said he was paranoid about his privacy.
It was disappointing because it is not a comfortable environment for anyone, let alone Virat. We reported it to the appropriate authorities, who took action. Hopefully, similar incidents will not occur in the future, and people will be much more cautious.
That’s (the hotel room) the one place where you feel safe from prying eyes, media glare, photographers, and everything else that the players have to deal with. When that is taken away, it is not a pleasant feeling Dravid stated this during the pre-game press conference in Adelaide on Tuesday.
The India head coach also stated that Kohli has put everything behind him and appears to be in good shape on the eve of the next match against Bangladesh in Adelaide, after the Indian team management raised the issue with the relevant authorities and swift action was taken.
He handled it extremely well. He’s here to practise. He’s perfectly fine, Dravid continued.
Kohli has been in outstanding form during this World Cup. Individual brilliance (82* off 53 balls) won India the first game against Pakistan, and he followed that up with another solid half-century to help India win the game against the Netherlands. Kohli looked good until he was out there against South Africa, but he was out trying to hook a Lungi Ngidi delivery.
In India’s must-win match against Bangladesh on Wednesday, the former India captain will look to put all of the controversy behind him and put his best foot forward.
