It was disappointing to learn that she will not be attending the 2022 MTV VMAs, despite being one of the most nominated artists. She received nominations for Song of the Year, Best Pop Video, Album of the Year, and Best Long – form Video. But why did she skip the MTV Video Music Awards in 2022? Billie Eilish is presently on her Happier Than Ever worldwide tour. She did gigs both before and after the MTV VMAs, and she performed in Thailand on August 26th, two days before the MTV VMAs 2022. Her previous gig was on August 26th at Tokyo’s Ariake Arena, and the VMAs were on August 28th at the Prudential Center in Newark. It would have taken her around 13 hours to get from Tokyo to New Jersey. So it’s understandable that she couldn’t attend the awards event despite being nominated for so many.Billie Eilish will also go on a tour of New Zealand and Australia beginning September 8.
In a recent interview, she stated that she feels more grounded today and that it took her some time to stay grounded despite being a celebrity.
