The next three Olympics will be held in France, US and Australia. India is hoping to host the Olympics in the city of Ahmedabad in Gujarat taken the world class sports infrastructure of the city. Such an ambition was also made clear during the Gujarat elections. It will most likely be held in the Sardar Patel Complex. It is being said by experts that 2023 and 2036 are 13 years apart and India has considerable amount of time to further improve the infrastructure. Some say this might be a risky endeavour as some countries have faced losses and have still not recovered from hosting the Olympics like Greece. It is being predicted that the cost of setting up the Olympics in India could go up to 25 billion Rupees. Previous attempts have also been made by Arvind Kejriwal and Devendra Fadnavis to sought the hosting rights for the Olympics.
