I was always excited to come to Australia and get so much time to prepare because I have always felt that as an individual, if I get the right situations and conditions to practice, Hardik said in an interview with the BCCI website.
The daring batter also expressed satisfaction with how he approached the warm-up games against Western Australia and Australia.
It was a successful day. It wasn’t about the runs I scored, but about how I approached the game and adapted to the situation. I played 21 odd balls and was able to center almost everything, he explained.
Hardik has played all three practice matches so far, scoring 46 runs but failing to take a wicket. He’ll be hoping to change that when India takes on New Zealand in another practice match on Wednesday.
